LimeLight/GameStream - Direct Phone HOTSPOT tether.

Made an interesting discovery today. i don't think a lot of people know about this.


It turns out that you can stream your desktop to your android device directly from PC to DEVICE, using wifi Hotspot.

1. Enable Wifi Hotspot on your Android Device.
2. Connect your COMPUTER to the Android Device, using the wifi HOTSPOT.
3. Open the streaming program, like KINONI, or LIMELIGHT, and enter your computer's IP address, and connect.


this would allow better bandwidth to your computer, considering the signal has a lot less to travel between devices. also, in my case, my Wifi router is plagued with neighboring problematic channel inteferences. i cannot get a clear signal between my computer an IP.


as for USB TETHER, i'm running tests, so maybe that'll work too.
